MADRE Sends Condoms to Trans Community in Nicaragua

Our sister organization, Red Trans de Nicaragua, has put out a description on their blog about our most recent Helping Hands donations of condoms, lubricants and informational material to the trans community in Nicaragua.  I would like to thank all of the donors that helped us provide such valuable resources.  You can see the translation of what they said about our donations below or check out their blog for yourself!

En dias recientes contamos con la presencia de la señora Vivian Stromberg de la Organización Feminista MADRE( Organización Internacional de Mujeres Pro Derechos Humanos de la Ciudad de Nueva York) EUA

esta Organización nos brindado apoyo solidario para continuar nuestro trabajo con las bases de la comunidad trans.

Desde hace mas de 2 años nos entregado Condones para la comunidad Trans y estos mismos se han entegado a la comunidad Tanto a la Referente de Oriente , de Occidente , Norte , Pacifico , Caribe Norte y Sur .

Sin este apoyo no podriamos continuar haciendo la labor de informar , prevenir y educar a las compañeras Trans en Nicaragua , ya que no contamos con apoyo financiero para estas actividades y ellas nos colaboran con Solidaridad .

Estos Condones , tripticos , Lubricantes se distribuyen con las referentes en todo el Pais ....

English translation:

We are presently working with Ms. Vivian Stromberg from the feminist organization MADRE (An international women’s and human rights organization based in New York, U.S) who have been giving us their support in continuing our work within the Trans community.

We have been collaborating with MADRE for two years as they donate condoms which we later distribute to the Trans communities in the West, East, North of the country, including the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. They collaborate with us in solidarity.

Without this support, we would not be able to continue our work of informing, prevention, and education of our Trans sisters in Nicaragua as we cannot depend upon financial support to continue these activities. 

These condoms, leaflets, and lubricants are distributed throughout the country.
