3 Questions for a Human Rights Defender

So often, the news we see about pressing global issues can seem stripped of context or meaning.  Beyond the headlines of the day, we want to know what women worldwide are really facing, what would a more just world look like, and how we can get there.

Working at MADRE, I have been so grateful to have access to people who have devoted years to making human rights a reality.  Whether it’s someone on staff, a leader of one of our sister organizations, someone in our Network of Experts, or someone within our larger community of allies, their insights are invaluable.  They can help us all make sense of the changes and challenges around us.

So, we have decided to try to make their expertise more available to you.  On a regular basis, we’re going to open a space on this blog for you to ask 3 Questions for a Human Rights Defender.

Here's how it'll work:

1. We'll post a quick bio and description of the person's work.
2. You will have a few days to submit your questions.
3. We'll pick three questions and pose them to the human rights defender.
4. We'll post the answers to the blog.
